Just Posting
It’s so funny, all the ways I come up with to hold myself back from just making stuff and sharing it with the world, to wit:
I’ve written, or drafted and half-written, lots of posts over the last many, many years that I never posted on my various blogs at the various times I maintained them. And it’s always felt like “cheating” to back date a post: like, publish it today with a published date in 2020—because that’s when I wrote it.
I came across a note from someone, and I wish I remembered who so I could thank them, pointing out how silly this is. After all, I did write the thing then, and there’s no reason not to share it now, and provide the context of the date when it was written.
So I’m going to do more of that.
